East Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue Sub-agency (Gulkarmat) personnel succeeded in extinguishing the fire that burned down a resident's house on Jalan Masjid Al Umar, RT 04/12 Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, Thursday (8/22) at around 11.05 AM.

No fatalities and casualties in the incident

East Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-agency Head, Muchtar Zakaria said it was allegedly caused by electrical short circuit. When the fire occured, the house owner was leaving the house.

"Residents tried to extinguish the fire, but were unsuccessful," he expressed.

To put out the flames, five fire trucks were deployed to the scene. However, only three units with 15 personnel were sent to the location.

"We have managed to control the situation around one hour. No fatalities and casualties in the incident," he concluded.
